• First of all, you have to open your MS Excel.
• Now you have to create a sheet, after creating a sheet in your MS Excel, you have to put the information in it. 
• I will show you below an example so that you can understand easily.
• You can see that inbox B I have created a category in which I click now and after clicking I will open the data validation tab. Which you will get to see in the above-mentioned data category.
• Now after clicking on the category with data, you have to open your data validation tab. As soon as you click on data validation, a small data validation box will open in front of you in which you will have to put some values. 
• Now you will get to see validation criteria You have to click on the drop-down menu where Any Value will be written. 
• As soon as you select the list, the source box will Appear in Front of You. click on > arrow given> side.
• Now you have to select the dropdown-list which you want to add in the middle of your category. 
• As soon as you click on the arrow after selecting your source will be added. And now all you have to do is click on OK. Now you will see that your drop-down list has been created.

Another way dropdown-list created by a formula

We have already learned how to add a drop-down list to the category but now I will tell you how you will be able to create a drop-down list through formula. Now I tried to tell you through a formula how do you add dropdownlist to any category.

• For the formula, you have to press an F 5 through which a small box will open in front of you. Now you have to click on the special After this you have to click on the data validation tab and click on OK. 
• The advantage of applying this formula is that you can create multiple categories.
